Government college for Girls, Sector 14, Gurugram has a unique distinction of its foundation being laid by the First prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru in 1959. The College was blessed by the benign presence of the First president of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad on its first convocation. The first woman prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandhi also graced this college by her visit. Among other significant personalities who visited this college was Giani Zail Singh, the fifth president of India.
