Report on Six-day "Self-Defense workshop"

A six-day workshop on Self-Defense was organised by the Women Cell in the hostel of Govt College for Girls, Sector-14, Gurugram, from 17th November 2025 to 22nd November 2025. The main objective of this Workshop is to empower participants with the confidence and skills needed to protect themselves in difficult or unsafe situations.
The workshop was conducted by Instructor Mr. Wasim Raja, a certified self-defence trainer with extensive experience in women's safety programs. He demonstrated practical techniques such as basic strikes, blocks, escape methods, and situational awareness strategies. Nearly 600 students from all the hostels (Yamuna, Saraswati, Ganga, and Kaveri) gained practical skills and also developed a strong sense of confidence, self-belief, and responsibility toward their own safety from this six-day self-defence workshop.
At the end of the session, Ms. Sanjeela, the event coordinator, extended sincere thanks to the instructor, Mr. Wasim Raja, for giving his valuable time. She also expressed her gratitude to Dr. Jitender Malik, Principal of Government College for Girls, Sec-14, Gurugram, for permitting and encouraging such an event. Lastly, she extended her heartfelt thanks to the In-Charge of the Women's Cell, Ms. Ritu, for helping us to organize this event, as well as to the other members-Ms. Seema Chaudhary, Ms. Rakhi, and Ms. Suman-for their support in organizing and handling the paperwork for this session.
