Seven day camp

NSS Units of Government College for Girls Sector 14 ,Gurugram organized a seven day NSS camp from 23rd to 29th February 2024 at Chandan Nagar Basti. Approximately 150 volunteers took part in the camp. The theme of the camp was Aatm Nirbhar Bharat. On the inauguration ceremony of the camp, the Principal of the college Dr. Jitendra Malik, NSS Co-ordinator , Gurugram University Dr. Vijay Mehta and NSS Program Officers Prachi, Mansi and Jyoti were present.
Various activities and seminars were held on Entrepreneurship as well as Voter Awareness. A four days Startup pre acceleration workshop Ideakriti was conducted by Smriti Sharma and her team. Young entrepreneurs like Prachi Soni, Anshuman Rai were invited to share their experience with the volunteers and encourage them to become future entrepreneurs. To promote Voter Awareness various activities like Mock Polling, Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Reel Making and rallies were organized in the campus as well as nearby areas. Nukkad Natak on various themes like voter awareness, cleanliness and mobile addiction were also held.
Competitions such as- Folk Dance, Folk Song, Self-composed poem recitation, Story Writing and Sanskriti Sanchar on theme Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat were held during the camp. Physical and mental health activities like four days meditation and yoga workshop by Sehaj yoga, Jogging, Parade practice, Kho Kho, Tug of war were also conducted. To emphasize on community service and social responsibility, students performed "shramdaan" by cleaning the campus. Participants actively engaged in this collective effort, contributing to the betterment of the surroundings. Continuing with the same effort the volunteers donated food, clothes, stationary items to the needy and also spread awareness regarding various social issues by performing nukkad nataks and talking to the residents of Chandan Nagar Basti.
The last day of the camp concluded with Cultural programs and Certificate distribution by Chief Guest Dr. H. S. Yadav, retired Principal Govt. College for Girls Rewari. Principal Dr. Jitendra Malik announced the camp closed and congratulated the Program Officers and volunteers for successful completion of the camp.
