Ozone and Atmosphere Protection Week

In continuation of celebration of Ozone and Atmosphere Protection Week, on 19th September 2023, Tree plantation and Online quiz were organized by the Environmental Management Club under the chairmanship of Dr. Indu Rao, Principal, GCG-14.
Tree plantation drive was organized in the college in collaboration with Centre for Environmental Education under the supervision of Ms. Anita Rathee, H.O.D, Botany Department and Ms. Suman, Convener of the club. 200 Bougainvillea saplings were provided by CEE and all the saplings were planted in Hostel and College campus by staff members and students. Students were encouraged to plant saplings and take care of the same.
Online Quiz on the topic Ozone and Atmosphere Protection was also organized today by the Environmental Management Club team. 182 students of different streams participated in the quiz. Ms. Mansi Arora (Biotechnology Department) and Ms. Payal Arora (Chemistry Department) were the teacher in charge of the quiz.
Dr. Pushpa Antil, H.O.D, Hindi Department, Ms. Rakhee Chauhan (Zoology Department), Ms. Ritu Malik, Ms. Nirmal and Ms. Ambika Sangwan from the Commerce Department appreciated the effort of students for both activities.
